Journey with ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ
I have been with ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ for the last four and a half years as a subject matter expert (SME) and trainer. I was part of the team that helped move and setup the Technology Service Desk (TSD) from Manila to India.Â
As an SME, I advised leaders on various processes like proactive accesses requirements and issue solutioning procedures with various advanced trainings. I also trained technical engineers and analysts on the various processes to prepare them for production. The role had a wide scope and everyday was challenging but fulfilling.
During the pandemic, I worked on one of the most meaningful projects (alongside my main role) - our remote onboarding process that enabled ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ to onboard thousands of employees fully remote.
Your background
I have close to 20 years years of work experience of which a decade’s worth is in coding. In fact, I have even published a book on C++. I started with technical build up projects and slowly made my way into technical and functional training, development, and management solutions.
To switch or not switch
I wasn’t actively looking to move out of my role but had a feeling that I wanted to try something new. Something that would challenge me and pull me out of my comfort zone. While browsing through our internal job postings portal, I came across the opening in our talent team and decided to test waters. The transition was difficult given that I was moving away from something I knew like the back of my hand. But I trusted my instinct and knew that this was a golden opportunity to have an impact beyond regional boundaries.
The move has been a little emotional for me since TSD has been my baby since its inception. But when it’s right, you just know it.
Being a talent specialist
ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ has initiatives all around the world and I am looking forward to taking up the role of facilitator for some programs and be the program manager for some others. Fostering a culture of learning in India is a key focus area on my list and I’m excited to drive that.
I will be driving one of our flagship learning program - LEAP and also be part of the team that delivers our well recognized career comeback program. The ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Experience Day program for new joiners will also be part of my new role. We’re getting ready to roll out a new learning experience platform and that’s a unique opportunity for me to contribute towards.
