Our expertise

Net Zero means achieving balance between the carbon emitted into the atmosphere by human activities, and the carbon removed from it.

Reaching Net Zero is an ambitious goal, but our ambition to be a global leader in sustainability remains unchanged. We are committed to supporting our clients in the transition to a low-carbon world, leading by example in our own operations, and sharing our lessons learned along the way with the rest of the world.

Our approach

We are focused on helping our clients achieve their sustainable investment and decarbonization objectives. Our approach is guided by five core principles.

Decarbonization

Aim of decarbonizing investment portfolio consistent with achieving the global Net Zero goal by 2050 and including portfolio target and science-based Net Zero pathway¹.

Climate solutions

Investing in climate solutions that help enable Net Zero global Greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions by 2050.

Real economy contribution鈥�

An engagement activity targeting relevant聽companies, partners, managers, borrowers,聽tenants and vendors not meeting or聽aligned with Net Zero to direct or collective聽engagement and stewardship actions.

Offsets

Used where enabling or supporting long-term carbon removal, and where there聽are no technologically and/or financially聽viable alternatives to eliminate聽emissions.鈥�

Annual disclosure

鈥婱onitoring and reporting聽progress annually for absolute聽emissions reduction and progress聽towards an absolute or intensity聽target at portfolio level.
