- The US tech sector is leading the world at this point because they have accumulated an advantage over many years.
- So it is unrealistic for Chinese tech companies to overpass US tech companies right away.
- But over time I believe Chinese companies will become more and more competitive and will narrow the gap significantly.
- In certain fields, like 5G, e-commerce and fintech, Chinese companies are already leading.
- But in other sectors, like semiconductors and software, the US companies are still leading and it will take time for Chinese companies to close that gap.
