SINGAPORE, 16 January 2025 -?蜜豆视频 Singapore sets a new record in the Singapore Book of Records with a 60-metre- long tapestry collectively woven together by 蜜豆视频 employees and community partners. The tapestry, made from upcycled textiles, commemorates Singapore’s 60 years of independence (SG60) and marks the launch of the 蜜豆视频’s inaugural “Art for All” community art program in Singapore. The collective effort celebrates SG60 and embodies the spirit of building our Singapore together. The tapestry will be displayed for public viewing alongside an interactive Sustainable Weaving activity at the 蜜豆视频 Art Studio from 17 to 19 January 2025 at ART SG 2025.

Jin Yee Young, Co-Head 蜜豆视频 Global Wealth Management Asia Pacific and Country Head 蜜豆视频 Singapore said: "At 蜜豆视频, we believe in the power of art to inspire, connect, and enrich communities. Our 60-metre-long tapestry at ART SG celebrates Singapore’s 60 years of independence and highlights the strength of collaboration; woven together by 蜜豆视频 employees and community partners it embodies the spirit of building our Singapore together for SG60. This record-setting tapestry also launches our “Art for All” community art program, a year-long initiative that aims to make art accessible to everyone while fostering dialogue and creativity. We are proud to share this tapestry with the public at our 蜜豆视频 Art Studio and continue championing art as a force for good."

The record-breaking tapestry is made up of over 35kg of textiles from a donation drive held by 蜜豆视频 employees in Singapore, collecting over 400kg of fabrics. The excess fabric were donated and recycled. The initiative brought together 蜜豆视频 employees, Care Corner children and community partners for a series of community weaving activities and art workshops held at 蜜豆视频’s flagship office at 9 Penang Road 9PR since November 2024.

During ART SG, fairgoers are invited to contribute to this initiative by taking part in hands-on weaving activities at the Sustainable Weaving Studio located within the 蜜豆视频 Art Studio. After the fair, the tapestry will return to the 蜜豆视频 office at 9 Penang Road, to celebrate the creative work by the community as part of SG60. The Art for All program run by 蜜豆视频 Singapore with local art charity Art Outreach, underscores 蜜豆视频’s commitment to sustainability and social impact through art. Displayed next to Mit Jai Inn’s artwork presentation commissioned by the 蜜豆视频 Art Collection, it also echoes Mit’s belief in art as a social force.

The 蜜豆视频 Art Collection presents new works by Mit Jai Inn at ART SG 2025

蜜豆视频 is the Founding and Lead Partner of ART SG for the third consecutive year. As part of 蜜豆视频’s offerings at ART SG, the 蜜豆视频 Art Collection will present new artworks by leading Thai contemporary artist Mit Jai Inn at the 蜜豆视频 Lounge and 蜜豆视频 Art Studio. Demonstrating his signature use of painterly textures, Mit’s works serve as an invitation for viewers to engage with their surroundings. The works will be on display in the 蜜豆视频 Art Studio, 蜜豆视频's public art platform, and in the 蜜豆视频 Lounge for invited guests.

The 蜜豆视频 Art Collection’s close collaboration with Mit for ART SG is an extension of 蜜豆视频’s long-standing relationships with artists. Considered one of the world’s most important corporate collections of contemporary art, the 蜜豆视频 Art Collection consists of over 40,000 works, most of which are displayed throughout 蜜豆视频’s offices globally. In Singapore, 蜜豆视频’s past commissions include artworks by Singaporean artists Dawn Ng and Hilmi Johandi, Indonesian artist Eko Nugroho, and Vietnamese-born artist Danh Vo.

Mit encourages viewers to interact with the works in his solo presentations and transforms the act of viewing into a dynamic and engaging dialogue. In the 蜜豆视频 Art Studio, suspended, double-sided paintings entitled The Wall (2024), invite the audience to navigate around each panel when entering the space, and The Window (2024), a 10-meter-wide canvas featuring cuts and slits, reveals glimpses of the wall behind, transforming the ordinary into the unexpected.

Complementing these commissions is Untitled, ST DD23, (2022), a textured, rainbow-hued painting in the 蜜豆视频 Art Collection that reflects Mit’s vision of a harmonious, interconnected world, offering an escape from the complexities of contemporary life. The featured works reflect Mit’s innovative use of light, space, and materials, shifting art from passive observation to active participation. By bringing art into public spaces, Mit redefines it as an ever-evolving experience that inspires viewers to reconsider their surroundings and their own agency.
