World Child Cancer
Improve diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer in sub-saharan Africa
World Child Cancer (WCC) focuses on increasing survival rates in developing countries by expanding the workforce of well-trained cancer specialists and increasing awareness around the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer. Through this program, the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Optimus Foundation will support WCC to:
- develop a Centre of Excellence to lead regional training and demonstrate best practice, potentially resulting in a higher quality of care for pediatric oncology patients
- deliver early warning signs training to increase referral rates, thus increasing demand for cancer treatment
