In 2020, ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Optimus Foundation raised $30 million from donors globally for the COVID-19 Response Fund, tackling the social and economic effects of the pandemic through 48 partners working across 35 countries.

Among these, Indonesia was one of the hardest hit countries. We look back at how your support has allowed our partners on the ground to respond swiftly and create a positive impact for the most vulnerable.

Over the past year, Project HOPE was able to deliver tens of thousands of medical supplies to various hospitals across Indonesia, and together with Brown University, provide critical training and assessments on infection prevention controls to thousands of frontline workers and hospitals.

To further strengthen local health systems, doctorSHARE distributed PPE kits and ventilators to various health facilities and hospitals across the country. With two floating hospitals and volunteer doctors, doctorSHARE was able to impact thousands of lives by providing free medical services, distributing hygiene kits, and educating rural communities on COVID-19.

Nonetheless, Indonesia’s battle against their worst humanitarian crisis is not over yet.

Tackling oxygen shortage in Indonesia

Amid these incredibly trying times, doctorSHARE and Halodoc are launching a new initiative to tackle the oxygen shortage in Indonesia. Through this, they hope to provide oxygen concentrators, an electrically powered medical device designed to concentrate oxygen from ambient air, to hospitals across Indonesia.

As part of our ongoing support of Indonesia’s COVID-19 recovery efforts, ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ is pleased to announce that it will be matching every donation to this new initiative by an additional 20%.

After all, we are only stronger, together.

If you would like to know more about this and our other COVID-19 initiatives, please reach out to your ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ contact.
