New York, New York, August 2, 2017 – On July 18, ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ hosted a pop-up shop and summer cocktail reception celebrating the five female founders who participated in this year's Project Entrepreneur Accelerator, a five-week program which included on-site training, introductions to investors, coaching and mentorship.
Over 130 people attended the pop-up shop including employees from the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ internal women’s network, All Bar None, advisors and clients from ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Wealth Management Americas.
Lori Feinsilver, Head of Community Affairs and Corporate Responsibility for ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ in the Americas, provided the event's opening remarks and spoke about the importance of creating a more inclusive and level playing field for entrepreneurs everywhere. "A lot of people ask me why ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ helped create Project Entrepreneur and why we choose to focus so much of our efforts on supporting female founders…For us, this concept of wealth creation and preservation, of being able to have the financial freedom to fulfill your dreams, that's a right we believe everyone should be afforded."
Heather Cabot, co-author of Geek Girl Rising, also spoke and reminded attendees that female entrepreneurs, "have vision, courage and a scrappiness that drives them to achieve their goals."
After providing background on their entrepreneurial journeys, these five female founders celebrated with guests and shared more about their innovative companies:
- The TouchPoint Solution - Vicki Mayo, CEO & Co-Founder (Scottsdale, AZ): Neuroscience wearable that alleviates stress by altering the body’s stress response in as little as 30 seconds
- Lace & Liberty - Danielle Wen, CEO & Co-Founder (San Francisco, CA): Merging direct-to-consumer convenience with luxury bespoke bridalwear
- LOLI Beauty - Tina Hedges, Founder & CEO (New York, NY): Pure, Potent, Personalized…LOLI is the first BIY (Blend It Yourself) clean + green beauty brand
- Reboundwear - Bimla Picot, Founder & CEO (New York, NY): Athleisure wear with a purpose
- Repeat Roses - Jennifer Grove, Founder & CEO (New York, NY): Sustainable floral waste removal business that gives back to people and planet
